The people of Nereid include international competitors and first-time rowers; athletes who have been on the water for decades and others who found the sport in middle age after seeing their children compete. We pride ourselves on our open membership, our economic and social diversity, and, above all, the idea that rowing is not just good sport but also good fun!
We have just a few membership requirements:
- Dues and storage fees paid in full
- Signed membership forms and waivers
- Good swimming ability
- Mandatory volunteer time, at least six hours annually
Nereid maintains a large fleet of singles, doubles and quads. These are available to members once they demonstrate appropriate proficiency, as determined by either the Captain or Head Coach. Membership also guarantees use of club facilities, including: Concept 2 rowing machines, free weights, men’s and women’s locker rooms, meeting rooms, kitchen and sun porch. Individual lockers can be rented for an annual fee.
All memberships are annual, beginning April 1st each year. Dues and storage fees are payable on the first day of the season.
Thinking of joining? Download the forms on the Membership Documents page and send them in. To get more information or set up a tour of the boathouse, contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Are you just learning to row? You do not need to become a member to participate in the Learn-to-Row or novice programs. Visit the Rowing Programs section to learn more.
