Youth Summer Camps

YOUTH SUMMER CAMPS

We are offering several Youth Rowing Camps during the summer of 2020. Each camp will be tailored towards athletes of specific experience levels so that participating athletes can get the most out of each camp. These camps will all be week-long (Monday – Friday) and will run from 9 AM – 3 PM each day. At the end of each week the athletes will compete in a scrimmage amongst themselves, followed by a BBQ. To learn more about each camp, please read the detailed descriptions below:

Learn-to-Row (July 6th – 10th)

Our Learn-to-Row camp is for athletes who have no prior rowing experience. Participants must be no younger than an incoming 7th grader and no older than incoming 10th grader. Rowers will learn the basics of rowing in a group atmosphere. In addition to technical instruction in the boat, rowers will also receive instruction on rowing machines and technical video review. Camp will be held from 9 AM – 3 PM each day and rowers should bring their own lunch. Additionally, rowers should bring sunscreen, a reusable water bottle, sneakers, weather appropriate exercise clothing as well as indoor exercise clothing, and a spare change of clothes. Finally, we also recommend that rowers bring a hat and sunglasses to wear if possible.
