Nereid’s Recreational program is open to all High School aged boys and girls. This is a non-racing team for athletes that either want to row for fun without the stress of competition, or for athletes that have aged out of the Middle School program but want to work towards making the Racing Team.

Spring Schedule: March 1st-May 27th

Practices will be held Monday-Thursday from 6 pm-7:30 pm

Participation will be capped at 24 athletes

Spots will be first come first serve

Spring Cost: $1075

(Just as a reminder, our program costs reflect purchasing and updating equipment such as boats, ergs, sliders, oars etc. as well as paying our coaches competitively over the course of each season. All race entry fees continue to be covered by the club for the season. The Spring season has an additional three weeks versus the Fall season.)

Description:

Athletes are eligible for the Recreational team after completing Middle School, and are not yet ready for the Novice or Varsity program. This is based on an evaluation by the coaches. Athletes that wish to move from the Recreational team to the Varsity team must be evaluated during the preseason, or during the season if an athlete is showing clear improvement and desire.

Athletes will do both land and water training to keep them in shape and active around the boathouse.

You must complete a swim test ( click here) and complete the USRowing waiver prior to participation. (Link below)
