Frostbite Regatta results
Nereid did very well at the Philadelphia Frostbite Regatta, bringing home
several first place medals. This regatta is a 2000 meter race on the
Schuylkill, held last Saturday, November 11.

New Wintech recreational 2x arrives
Adding to Nereid's fleet, the club has purchased a Wintech recreational 2x
in addition to the recently acquired recreational 4x/+ w/cox. These boats
are intended for use by our Learn to Row programs. However, they are also
available for members to row.
At the Annual Dinner we will have a celebratory boat naming ceremony.

Nereid hosts USRowing Level II Coaching Clinic this weekend
The club is hosting a Level II clinic at the boathouse this Saturday and
Sunday. The meeting area upstairs will be unavailable from 9 to 5 on
Saturday and 9 to 1 on Sunday.

Annual Club Awards
Masters rowers who think they are eligible for awards should submit a
list/summary to either Frank Schaefer or Andrea Hurwitz.
Club awards are won by achieving the greatest number of points as follows:
One point for each event entered
Three points for each win
Points are doubled for Team Nereid events.

Annual Membership Dinner
The Annual Dinner has been scheduled for December 9 at the boathouse and
promises to be a blast! Dan and Briant, Nereid's club chefs, have
promised to do even better than last year, when we had a roast pig, among
other delicacies.
Everyone should have received an Evite. Please rsvp by 12/1 so we know
how many members to expect. The cost will be the same as last year, $35
per person, to be paid at the door.

Saturday morning open row
On Saturday mornings at 9 AM, Nereid hosts an open row at the club. We
will put crews together with anyone who shows up. Afterwards, there'll be
breakfast at the boathouse.

Nereid Masters Yahoo group
We have created a Yahoo group where Nereid members can post questions to
other members, post photos and classified ads, organize for regattas, find
others to row with, etc. To register, send a blank email to
nereidmasters-subscribe@yahoogroups.com or email
nereidpres@hotmail.com. The group currently has 22 members.
