Masters Regattas

 Coached programs and regatta entries shall have priority in the use of club equipment. If there is significant demand for a particular boat, usage shall be apportioned equally among the interested parties. Regatta trailer seat fees are $20 per seat with a $40 maximum.

Masters RowingNereid supports masters’ rowers with coaching and logistical assistance at regattas. Coaching is designed for both seasoned and new rowers. To participate in a masters program, Nereid membership and completion of a Novice Learn to Row or equivalent is required. For a new rower to have a successful experience, competence in rowing a recreational single is expected.

To enroll in a Masters program, download and complete the signup form in the right sidebar on this page; then mail the form and your check (made payable to Nereid Boat Club) to the address indicated on the form. Completed forms may also be emailed to programs@nereidbc.org, but space is not confirmed until a check is received. Space may be limited.

Winter

Nereid's winter program is aimed at promoting enjoyment of the sport, these programs also focus on improving technique, increasing physical conditioning, and preparing for indoor regattas. Rowers will have the option of competing at several indoor races should they choose to do so. Entry fees for races are not included in program fees. 

Early Morning Masters Program is for early-bird Nereids who want to get their workout done before work. Practices are Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings, on the water by 5:45 AM and off by 7:15 AM. The Winter program is scheduled to start on Wednesday, November 27th and will end on February, 23rd.

Evening Masters Program is for rowers who are unable to practice in the mornings. Practices are Mondays and Wednesdays from 6 - 7:30 PM. The Winter program is scheduled to start on Wednesday, November 27th and will end on February, 21st

Private Lessons 

Club members may take private lessons with any Nereid Coach. Costs are:

§  1x          $45

§  2x/2-      $56 ($28 per seat)

§  4x/4+     $68 ($17 per seat)

In addition, coaches can work individually with competitive masters to prepare training programs. All payments are to be made to Nereid Boat Club. Times are to be arranged with your coach
